Greg started with this company in 1993. Through hard work and dedication, Greg has advanced to one of our top truckload sales reps.  He has grown with our company and along with that he has gained the knowledge and experience to represent both the company and the customer to ensure profitability for both. 

Greg is currently directing his efforts to developing HMI's new REDI-RIPStm brand which is revolutionary to the industry.

Walt has been involved in Sales and Marketing for over 18 years.  His main concentration has been in retail sales.  He gained his lumber knowledge in a retail lumber yard.  At this yard he worked closely with contractors, assisting them in putting together lumber packages from Blueprint stage.  Walt also handled custom trim and door packages with the Mill on site.

In looking for a new challenge as a manufacturer’s representative, he found that Hardwoods of Michigan, Inc. offered the opportunity he was looking for.  During the past 5 years, he has enjoyed working with the wide variety of customers from small custom shops to medium sized manufacturers of hardwood products.

Walt concentrates his sales efforts mainly in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.

Jim Hunt has worked for Hardwoods of Michigan, Inc. for 30 years.  During that time he has worked primarily as the manager of Timber Procurement and Veneer Log Sales.  His new role at HMI will be Vice President of Sawmilling and Timber Procurement.
Jim is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Business Marketing.  Jim and his wife of 26 years, Jan, reside in Tecumseh Michigan.  They have three children, Elizabeth (and her husband Nate), Edward and James.

Jerry Pibbles has been with Hardwoods of Michigan for over 39 years.  When he began at HMI, there were 8 people on the payroll.  He has been in a management position since shortly after starting with HMI.  Jerry has managed our Green Lumber Procurement Department, managed the Sawmill and managed the Kiln Drying Operation. He has also held the position of Head Lumber Inspector and is currently our Green Sales and Yield Recovery Manager.

Mike comes with over 22 years experience in the hardwood industry, including sales, manufacturing, distribution and management.  Mike will be concentrating on growing the REDI-RIPStm program in the Eastern United States and Canada , as well as export sales.


Mike and his wife Beth live near Cleveland , Ohio .  His son Josh attends the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh , PA and daughter, Jenna, is in her second year at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea , OH .
Mike will be working out of an office in Cleveland, Ohio which is located between HMI’s Clinton, MI operation and Walker Lumber Co, (owned by HMI) in Woodland, PA.
